Where is the friendliest place you have been?
New Orleans for me, but I found the blacks and gays to be much friendlier than the standard whites

I had similar experiences with the frogs In Paris, thought they were very pleasant. although I was never quite sure if it’s because of the mrs.

One place I didn’t expect was TURKEY. Some geezer befriended us and figured out where we were staying (the arse end of nowhere) and I was convinced he was going to come in the night and bum me. In the end he took us out in his boat, cooked us a load of grub, just out the goodness of his heart.

The people of Monterrey were very welcoming to their visitors back in 1986

Agree with geep. I expected the French to be rude and was surprised how friendly they were. A small minority are rude and arrogant though.

London used to be friendly. And this ain’t no rose tinted view. Back in the 80s though people actually did interact with neighbours and there was some sort of community. Now it’s full of fucking pink polo shirt wearing Tobys. Now it’s just shit.

Apart from a few shopkeepers, and the Metro information people, I've never found even the Parisians unfriendly.

I say "even" the Parisians, becuase some French people are of the opinion that they are unfriendly.

Mind you, I wouldn't put the French at the top of the friendliness league, any more than I'd put them at the bottom. Mid-table.

I've got to agree with Btuuuno I also found the black folk in New Orleans a really friendly lot but can't say I got too friendly with the poofters there, being a naturally stunning looking fella I tend to avoid mincing areas.
Away from the touristy bits The Portuguese are a good bunch as are folk from The Finland. The most unfriendly are the fucking French by a distance lovely looking filthy women but absolute cunts.

In the US - Chicago.

In England - Walworth, London.

The Boleyn, and east London generally, were right miserable spots.

Wales - found Cardiff and Swansea friendly, Aberystwyth not so much. Not been to any other towns, but found rural places along the South and North coasts pleasant.

Interesting. I spend a lot of time in Wales, the valleys mainly my experiences are similar. Up in the valleys people say good morning to you in the street.

I’ve never experienced any anti English stuff, whilst the locals are very patriotic it’s not in that bitter way synonymous with the jocks. I do find that are more likely to try and overcharge me when they realise I’m English though. That’s fair enough really as I do obviously have more money than them.

The taffs are generally down to earth and you don’t meet many pretentious ones

First time I went to Orlando the people, businesses etc were really friendly and welcoming. Been a few times since and found that the welcome has dwindled each time we went so haven't been back since 2010.

Re: Where is the friendliest place you have been?
Very surprised there are any votes for the Welsh. As an ex student in Cardiff I can vouch for very strong anti English sentiment from many of them. Especially in the Valleys. In a pub there the Landlord refused to serve me even though I showed him my Cardiff University student card, all my Welsh mates could get served no problem! I think I was 21 at the time. When the Rugby was on the locals went mad when they lost to the English. A mate of mine was a Southend fan and we went to game v Cardiff at Ninian Park, we decided to have a few pints in a local pub before the game and the locals were all nudging each other and talking about us. We ended up necking our pints and leaving before we were asked to leave.
